St. A’s will fly to Washington, D.C. for Marcus Hummon’s long-awaited debut of “American Prophet” at Arena Stage.

We are so excited about this community adventure. Here is an itinerary, ideas for free-time, addresses, etc.
Friday:
8:30AM Arrive at BNA. Print boarding pass at Southwest kiosk. Flight #1373, confirmation number: 3PO3LE (We strongly recommend not checking a bag!)
10:35AM Southwest Flight #1373 departs from BNA → DCA
1:05PM Flight arrives. Susan Ferguson will meet us at the airport with Metro passes to take the Metro to our hotel (Hyatt Place Hotel, 400 E Street, Washington, DC, 20024).
2:30PM Gather in the hotel Potomac Room at Hyatt Place Hotel for lunch, songs, stories and discussions around Frederick Douglas, featuring Marcus Hummon.
6:30PM Susan is leaving the hotel lobby to walk to dinner if you want to walk with a group. (You may also travel to Kaliwa on your own.)
7:00PM For those who signed up ahead of time, dinner reservation at Kaliwa, 751 Wharf St SW, Washington, DC 20024.
Saturday
7AM - 10AM Breakfast (free) is available at the hotel.
Free time and lunch on your own
1:30PM Meet outside the National Museum of African American History and Culture, 1400 Constitution Avenue NW, Washington, DC, 20560. Museum is open until 5:30PM.
6:00PM-7:00PM Cocktail reception with heavy hors d’oeuvres in the City Room of our hotel.
7:15PM Meet in the lobby to walk the .6 miles from our hotel to the theater.
8PM American Prophet begins at the Arena Stage Theater, 1101 6th St SW, Washington, DC 20024.
Sunday
7AM - 10AM Breakfast (free) is available at the hotel.
9:00AM For those who would like to attend church in the neighborhood, meet Susan in the hotel lobby to make the walk.
9:30AM Holy Eucharist begins at St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church, 555 Water Street, SW Washington, DC 20024.
11:15AM For those who would like to attend the Holy Eucharist at the National Cathedral, it begins at 11:15AM. Transportation to get there is up to you! 3101 Wisconsin Ave, NW, Washington, DC, 20016
12PM Hotel check out time, but they can hold your bags at the front desk until we depart for the airport.
