The Justice Salon is a ministry of St. Augustine's Chapel dedicated to putting our faith into action around the primary areas of immigrant and refugee rights, racial and economic justice, LGBTQ+ inclusion, and environmental-ecological justice. We engage in this work through a process of education, reflection and action, engaging in collaborative efforts with many partners. Learn more about our current initiatives below! Contact Tandy Solomon if you want to be added to the Justice Salon email list, justicesalon@staugustineschapel.org.

plug in with the Justice Salon and community partners and put your faith into action!

Lately, the Justice Salon has put on a nonviolent organizing training, supported LGBTQI+ teens through meals at Launchpad, organized at the State Capital, participated in the Music City Iftar, and joined national protests like Hands Off. We are dedicated to being people of faith in the public sphere who believe that love heals.

No Hate on My Plate
Thursday, May 15th from 5:30-7:30PM at Thistle Farms, come around the table to meet new folks who you may otherwise not get to know for a free, delicious dinner called No Hate on My Plate.

No Hate on My Plate is an event series designed to bring people together around a shared meal to discuss their experiences and observations of hate, bias, and discrimination in their communities. Natural conversations will be aided by a moderator who will ensure conversations stay relevant and substantive while maintaining a safe and welcoming space.

The discussions simultaneously create community among the gathered participants and provide information about what issues seem to be bubbling up in different areas. This organically leads to networks of support and creates opportunities for early intervention if a particular issue seems to be at a tipping point.

Reach out to Kate Fields (kate@staugustineschapel.org) for more info.

NHoMP events are kept to 35 attendees, so tickets are limited. Sign up here: https://events.humanitix.com/nhomp-at-thistlefarms

No Hate on My Plate is an initiative of Humans Over Hate: www.HumansOverHate.org.

The Welcome Garden welcomes you!

The Welcome Garden is a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) farm started in 2023 on the land of Doug and Anne Hardin in Goodlettsville, in collaboration with the Center for Contemplative Justice and the St A’s Justice Salon community.  Our desire is twofold; to grow local, organic produce for our community which stewards the land well and extend a place of welcome and part time employment to our newest neighbors in Nashville.
