River Baptism

  • Turnbull Creek Farm 1299 Glendale Rd White Bluff, TN, 37082 (map)

Join us for the annual River Baptism, Blessing of Expecting Mothers, and Greatest Potluck Ever!

We're so excited about the baptism. While this year's site is truly one of the best there are some very important pieces of information that will make the day more pleasant.

Please share with all your friends and family attending.

Expecting mother blessing! A blessing over the expecting mothers is a sweet part of our service. Please contact Jes Williams if you, or someone you love, is pregnant and would like to participate.

Baptism Location! 1299 Glendale Rd. White Bluff, TN Click here for a map.

Arrival! The service begins at 11:00AM. Please plan to arrive early. Allow PLENTY of time 20-30 minutes (in addition to driving) for parking and delivering your food items to the tent.

Food! Please bring your side or dessert that serves 12 in a disposable dish with utensils. Any dishes left become the property of the chapel. :-)

Potluck! We hope to once again have the GREATEST POTLUCK EVER! Again, this year the main course will be barbecue, provided by Sam Lechleiter. Guests will contribute the sides/salads and desserts as determined alphabetically by last name as follows:
A-P- Salad or a Side
Q-Z - Dessert.

Please bring enough for your whole family/party to share.

Chairs! Please bring chairs for each of your people. We are NOT renting tables and chairs.

Shoes! There might be mud near the river and parking will be in a field, so don't wear any sandals much less pumps. Chacos, Merrells, Keens and tennis shoes are good suggestions.

Bugs! Due to the proximity to the water, gnats might be a problem.
Bring your Thistle Farms Natural Bug Spray!!

Water 1! The creek is low and wide and perfect for playing. Feel free to bring water shoes and towels for anyone who might want to play.

Water 2! Please bring water bottles to help cut down on waste.
We will have a limited number of cups.

Cars! You’ll be driving through grass for a ¼ mile and some uneven ground keep this in mind when choosing transportation. Carpooling is great!
