Urgent call: help us welcome a new refugee family to Nashville!

The Justice Salon, in partnership with refugee resettlement agency Inspiritus, will be welcoming and accompanying a Kurdish family from Syria that is arriving in Nashville this Friday, January 13! They are a couple with two young boys. We are collecting furnishings, kitchenware, and monetary support as they get settle into their new home! If you have items to donate or money to buy new items, please let Lynne McFarland know (615 864-1641, lynneluckeymcfarland@gmail.com).  Money donations can be sent to the Justice Fund online through Kindful, to Venmo or by check with the memo “Justice Fund-Kurdish.”

Here are the immediate needs:

  • A smart tv to have internet access

If you plan to donate an item, please let Lynne know by Thursday, January 12, 11am. We'll need to have the item by Friday daytime hours.

There are four ways to send in your donation:

1.       Donate online to the Justice Fund. Please email peggy@staugustineschapel.org if you send a donation here, so it gets credited to Justice Fund-Kurdish.

2.       Venmo @StAugustines-Chapel with "Justice Fund-Kurdish" as the memo

3.       Mail a check to St. Augustine’s Chapel, P.O. Box 6330-B, Nashville, TN 37235 made out to St. Augustine’s Chapel with "Justice Fund-Kurdish” as the memo

4.       Bring a check to church on Sunday with "Justice Fund-Kurdish" as the memo if you want to help but don't have an item to donate, money to buy some items would be very welcome.
