Epiphany Party

Join us for an Epiphany celebration at Luke Froeb’s house! We’ll have a potluck, bonfire, liturgy, and King cake to celebrate. Please bring an item for the potluck to share. Park at Julia Green School. RSVP to Emily for the address, emily@staugustineschapel.org.

Today we celebrate the Epiphany of our Lord. Epiphany comes from the root word meaning to, “show forth,” just as the star over the stable in Bethlehem so brightly showed the Magi the place of Jesus’s birth. Since the time of Christ showing forth, many others have gone on to share the light of that star in the world. We show forth the many gifts we bring to the world, our bright shining stars:

The gifts of our hands
The gifts of our love
The gift of our lives
The gift of our voices

Loving God, you call us each to serve. May we always walk in the light of Christ, with love in our hearts, truth in our minds, and strength in our wills. As the Magi presented gifts to Jesus, accept our gifts and the offering of our hearts to you and one another.
